NOTABLE PROJECTS
Crandell Mountain Campground Wastewater System, Waterton Lakes National Park, AB.
Client: McElhanney Consulting Ltd. for Parks Canada.
Complete redesign and reconstruction of the wastewater system in support of the reconstruction of a campground destroyed by the 2017 Kenow wildfire. The campground is on gravelly soils adjacent Blackiston Creek. The design had to address significant concerns with respect to the effects of wastewater effluent dispersal on the creek and downstream habitat. Significant discussion with Parks Canada and an independent consultant was required to achieve a design that adequately addressed these concerns.

Design of the wastewater system for a new event venue in a
new park in NW Calgary adjacent the Bearspaw reservoir. Site assessments, design and extensive coordination with other consultants and stakeholders to ensure wastewater for this site, which is isolated from the city’s sanitary sewers, is managed acceptably.

Large system on a site with poor soil that had been extensively regraded. Required work with Alberta Municipal Affairs to secure a variance for an effluent distribution system not addressed in the Alberta Private Sewage Systems Standard of Practice.
